Packing up Tonight for the Flights Home Tomorrow!

Henrietta has found a family of her own!!! She is so excited, she almost got up and danced with Nadia...but, then she came to her senses and realized she'd hate to get her pretty new dress sweaty before meeting her new family. Henrietta has always been very sensible, like that! She decided to celebrate, instead, with a pan of warm chocolate chip cookies fresh from the oven and a tall, cold, refreshing glass of milk!

She is being adopted by Makayla and will be living next door to Princess Lokelani and Agent Mokihana! Henrietta arrived at the Monkey Orphanage about a week after the Princess and Mokihana left for their new homes, so she hasn't actually ever met them yet...but, the "old timers" here at the orphanage have told her so much about the Princess and Mokihana that she feels like she already knows them!

Henrietta is excited that she and Nadia will be going to the Post Office together tomorrow morning! Henrietta will be catching a Priority Flight to Illinois, while Nadia will be catching a Priority Flight to Oklahoma (with a brief layover in Kansas City, Kansas)!

(Of course the other monkeys in the orphanage had to give Henrietta a going away gift...a flower necklace to accentuate her cozy sweater dress! The other monkeys gave Nadia a necklace, too, but she had been so busy happily dancing away that she had forgotten to put it on yet when these pictures were snapped!)

fun fact: Henrietta's sweater dress is made from materials sent from Nome, Alaska by Lambchop and Clyde!

Henrietta

Name: Henrietta
Date of Arrival: April 15, 2010
Unique Feature: First THERMAL Monkey!

About Me: Henrietta loves fashion! She loves changing her appearance all the time!! She likes changing the color of her eyes and likes wearing lots of makeup.

She's a PLUSHED Sized monkey with a heart just as big as her hips! She is our softest, snuggliest monkey so far! She is definitely a couch monkey. If you like long afternoon naps, she's your monkey! 'Comfy' is her middle name! She is a one of a kind and she's delighted to be so unique! She loves to smile!...and she makes everyone else feel like smiling too!

Photo of the Most Recent Group:

These are the current residents of the Monkey Orphanage who are awaiting adoption! (Someone has put in an application for Eunice. She is the only one spoken for out of this group! All the rest are still looking for families of their own!)

Eunice, Henrietta, Martin, River, Grover, Grace, and Buddy!

We are particularly interested in finding a family for Grover. He is not adjusting well at all to life here at the Monkey Orphanage. We had a near catastrophe yesterday involving the local animal control officer after SOMEONE opened the back gate and INVITED Ransom out to run LOOSE all over town! We feel it would be in Grover's best interest for him to move out of the orphanage as soon as possible. We are certain there is a home out there that would be just right for him...maybe one with a custom padded room, or something!

UPDATE: Grover, Martin, River, and Grace have also since been adopted. Only Henrietta, and Buddy are still available out of this particular group of monkeys.
