Off to the Great Northern Wilderness!

Today, Clyde and Lambchop leave to meet their new family--way, way, way up north in Nome, Alaska! Though it has been in mid-seventies here, it has been in the lower teens up in Nome these last few days. In fact there was such a fierce blizzard there this weekend that all the stores had to close!

Knowing how cold it is up there, Clyde had gone clothes shopping early on and had begun always wearing his little stocking cap, sweater made from socks, and brown trousers. Lambchop, though, had not gone shopping for clothes. She kept insisting, "Clothes?! I don't need no stinkin' clothes!" Fortunately for her, the other monkeys thought differently and they all pooled their allowance money together to buy her a woolly poncho! She is sure to stay warm now! The other monkeys didn't forget Clyde, either... Since he had already gotten himself some clothes, the other monkeys got Clyde a picture of all of them together for Clyde to take with him to his new home, so he won't forget any of his friends back here at the Monkey Orphanage!

Clyde and Lambchop will be leaving in just a few moments to board the Priority Postal Flight to Nome!
