Preparing for Farewells...

The first group of monkeys are about to leave the orphanage! Clyde and Lambchop will be flying to Nome, Alaska to live with Lisa, while Rose and Mokihana are setting out soon for Normal, Illinois to live with sisters Anni and Frankie. Grace and River can't help but feel sad that they haven't found homes yet. Meanwhile, Zeke, Lily, and Kevin are feeling wistful about the soon departure of their dear friends because their own permanent home is the orphanage (having been adopted early on by orphanage workers Doug and Rayna). They love living at the orphanage...but, it's still hard when they see their friends moving on. So...they all decided to have a farewell party at the park...to end this chapter on a happy note, playing together one last time before they set out on their own individual adventures! (Clyde even mustered up his courage and spent some time high up the branches of their favorite tree! He says that hanging out in the tree is helping him get used to the idea of FLYING in a PLANE to Alaska. He has also taken to wearing clothes--something he found really weird at first, but which he thinks will be a good habit to have formed once he winds up in a place that is twenty to thirty degrees BELOW zero much of the year!)

  2. Please tell those children that are hauling My Clyde and My Lamb chop around to NOT get them dirty. We do not have the same facilities as there is in the lower 48. Although we did have a killer home-study done for adoption (at which our home/family stood out as exceptional)...bathing is a rarity.....I don't want MY CHILDREN filthy when they arrive!
