Well, this past weekend, Darcy, her grandmother, and her mother went to Branson to the "Women of Joy" conference. Darcy's mom was amused to see that although Darcy had FORGOTTEN to pack the netbook (that she is inseparable from almost every waking moment...living on facebook), there was Grover peeking his self-satisfied ornery little face out of her overnight bag. (I'm still not sure if Darcy actually PACKED him, or if he just sneaked into her bag after she left for school Friday morning!) At any rate, against my better judgment, Grover came with us to Branson.
I was worried, but, I have to admit, he behaved himself very well. He spent most of his time standing around the lamp and hanging off the wall mounted lights. He didn't wake us up at night, like I thought he might. He DID duck into the floor of the car whenever patrol cars pulled up alongside us on the highway, though...guess old habits are hard to break! But, really, I have to admit, he was a surprisingly good little monkey the whole weekend....until it was time to check out...then he hid, making us late to the last session of the conference...but, I guess he was just having so much fun he hated to see it end!
This blog is for the adoption of Sock Monkeys.
100% of each adoption fee will go to a fund for a Medical Mission Trip to El Salvador.
Each monkey will have photos taken by Monica and personality profiles written by Darcy :)
